Indications

  • Persistent dyspeptic symptoms with or without ulceration

  • Duodenal and benign gastric ulceration including that associated with NSAID therapy

Key Benefits

  • Cetidine is a histamine H2-receptor antagonist

  • Rapidly inhibits both basal and stimulated gastric secretion of acid; reduces pepsin output

Indications

  • Treatment of oesophageal reflux disease

  • Treatment of duodenal and benign gastric ulcers including those complicating NSAID therapy

  • Relief of associated dyspeptic symptoms

  • Prophylaxis of acid aspiration

  • Zollinger-Ellison syndrome

* Omeprazole should be used in combination with
antibiotics for eradication of Helicobacter pylori (Hp) in peptic ulcer disease

Key Benefits

  • Once daily dosing

  • Symptom relief is rapid. In reflux oesophagitis the majority of patients are healed after four weeks.

  • Omizec is now the gold standard in acid suppression owing to its rapid action and reversible proton pump inhibitor

  • Omizec is well tolerated and adverse reactions have generally been mild and reversible

  • Single daily dose and absorption unaffected by food make Omizec convenient for patients

  • Relief of associated dyspeptic symptoms

  • Superior to ranitidine to heal NSAID-induced ulcers and erosions

  • May prevent GI damage in patients requiring long-term NSAID therapy

  • More rapid healing in DU and GU than H2 antagonists

Key Benefits

  • Range of presentations including Ulticer injection for the treatment of duodenal ulcer, benign gastric ulcer and post-operative and stress ulcer

  • Tablets in 150mg and 300mg for once or twice daily dosing
