White oval film coated tablets. Each contains 250mg amoxicillin and
125 mg clavulanic acid.

Benzoclav 228.5 mg
Oral Suspension:

 

When reconstituted each
5 ml contains 200 mg amoxicillin and 28.5 mg clavulanic acid.

Indications

  • Benzoclav oral presentations for twice daily dosing are indicated for short term treatment of bacterial infection at the following sites:

  • Upper respiratory tract infections (including ENT) e.g. recurrent tonsillitis, sinusitis, otitis media.

  • Lower respiratory tract infections e.g. exacerbation of chronic bronchitis, lobar and bronchopneumonia.

  • Urinary tract infections e.g. cystitis, urethritis, pyelonephritis.

  • Skin and soft tissue infections e.g. cellulites, animal bites, boils, abscesses, wound infections.

  • Bone and joint infections e.g. osteomyelitis.

  • Dental infections e.g. severe dental abscess with spreading cellulitis.

  • Other infection e.g. septic abortion, puerperal sepsis, intra-abdominal sepsis
